L O B 12 ¼” 311 mm
A good half sized violin for the improving player wanting a fuller and more mellow tone. Labelled “Breton Brevete de S.A.R.M.” this is one of the better quality Mirecourt instruments of the Breton school, possibly by the Laberte or Thibouville-Lamy workshops, both of whom made copies of the original F. Breton instruments. This has a one piece back in a lovely figure, matching ribs and elegant scroll, and a front in tightly grained spruce with well executed restorations by the bridge. Well set up with Dominant strings, and supplied with new case and brazilwood bow.
