L O B 13 3/8”, 340 mm.

Suitable for an improving young violinist looking for an instrument with a better tone, this superior Strad copy comes from a good French workshop, in a lovely red-brown varnish; the two piece back in tightly flamed maple, the matching ribs, the neck and scroll in looser figure, the front in spruce of tight grain broadening to the margins. Well set up with 4 new French pattern pegs, Aubert bridge, Wittner tailpiece, and Dominant strings. Showing only the minor dinks around the edge that an instrument picks up in over a century of maturing, this is one of the best three-quarter fiddles in my current stock. Supplied with a new case and bow.
