L O B 13”, 330mm

A nice clean example of the well-known “Celebre Vosgien” model, from the J Thibouville-Lamy workshops. In excellent condition, and eminently suitable for the promising pupil as a big improvement on the usual starter outfit. Finished in JTL’s  warm red-brown varnish with incised purfling, the back and ribs in maple of faint curl, the neck and scroll in stronger figure the front in medium to broad grain spruce. Undamaged, and with very few signs of age, it has a warm balanced tone. Well set up with Dominant strings, 4 new pegs, new French bridge and soundpost, Wittner tailpiece, and new case and bow.
