An older German instrument dating from the mid 19th century, in a lovely red-brown oil varnish over a yellow ground; the two piece back in a tight flame descending from the centre; the matching ribs and scroll. This instrument features a finely executed neck graft and is well set up with a seasoned French bridge and soundpost, 4 new pegs, Dominant strings, and new case and bow. and achieves a fine balanced voice.
