INDIVIDUAL SMALL REPAIRS

There are so many that this is just a sample of the most common problems:
New pads: fit & re-balance keywork each 4.00
Replace broken spring: each 3.50
Flute headcork, or Clarinet tenon cork each 8.00
Remove dent from flute body each 10.00
Free stuck Cornet mouthpiece (please don’t try yourself!) 5.00

FLUTE, CLARINET AND STUDENT OBOE  
Checkup & Setup: For new instruments (3 years old or less) or those within two years of a service- Dismantle and clean over, check for leaks, check spring tension, re-seat pads, lubricate pivots, re-regulate, and bring back to playing order: £50.00

General Service: All the above, including cleaning & sterilising, plus the replacement of active felts or corks, any adjustments necessary to set up the instrument, and put it back into good working order.
This normally includes replacing the odd spring or pad, but if more than 2 pads are torn or worn, they will be charged at the rate of £4.00 each. (If a number of pads tear at the same time, it often indicates that they are all becoming brittle skinned, and a complete repad might be considered)     £85.00

Complete Overhaul and Repad. This will involve the replacement of all changeable parts, including Pads, Springs if necessary, Corks and felts, Tenon Corks if required, clean and buff up keywork, take up any wear on keywork to eliminate rattles, and generally remove dents and scratches as much as we can. This service will return the instrument to as close to new performance as possible, and your instrument may need to be played in, as if it were new. £145.00
